WIND & FIRE MC SOUTHERN RALLY 1309 TOWNE COLONY DR IRVING, TX 75061-6160 E-Mail : ffrebel@aol.com ...First... Friday Morning Hill Country Ride Saddle your "IRON HORSE" and let's ride. Kick stands up @ 10:15 am. "Arrive ready to GO." Departure is from the North side of the "Texas State Capitol" or the closet parking lot. Take a picture and lets roll.
We will be stopping for a brew or other refreshments about midway, before we head back to Austin. We'll wind up back in Austin for the W&FMC Meet & Greet at our new home, Cheers Shot Bar. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE Karl Schafler Wind & Fire MC Lone Star
...And Beat The Parade To The... W&FMC SOUTHERN RALLY MEET & GREET Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 at Cheers Shot Bar 416 E. Sixth Street Cheers Shot Bar is just two or three doors to the right from the Jackalope. Look for the banners! Come down to Sixth Street early and find a parking spot right in front , or leave your bike at your hotel. CHEERS has the coolest deck complex of any bar on Sixth Street, and it will be all ours for the afternoon. Best of all, they really want us to be there and they'll treat us right! Then feel free to hang around after the Meet & Greet to enjoy the World-Famous night life of Austin's Historic Sixth Street! It's a party that you'll never forget, if only you could remember it. On a serious note, don't forget that a taxi ride is much cheaper than a DUI! Remember, DON'T DRINK AND RIDE!
...Then on Saturday... WIND & FIRE MC RIDE TO THE RIVER All riders going to the Official Southern Rally will start gathering at 10:30 am at the Studio Six - Austin Midtown parking lot. We will leave at 11:00. This time has changed, so please help spread the word to everyone wanting to go on this ride! This group ride will not be nearly as scenic as the Hill Country Ride, but the natural beauty of the Guadalupe River will make up for it after the NEW AND IMPROVED SOUTHERN RALLY. We have been invited to GARDO'S ON THE GUADALUPE RIVER 9440 River Road, New Braunfels, TX 78132. ...So What's New... OFFICIAL WIND & FIRE MC SOUTHERN RALLY from 12:00 to 2:00. We'll give out the awards for Oldest Rider, Longest Distance Ridden, Best Bike, and Best Bullshi - - I mean Best Hard Luck Story. We'll also recognize other Club business, then it's down to the river!
If the water is high enough at Gardo's, we'll park the scooters and climb into the vans to be carried upstream for a three or four hour relaxing and exciting trip along the cool, clean river. Be ready for a couple of rapids! If we have another dry Texas spring, we'll float down river from Gardo's, where the water is deeper but slower, and the scenery just as engaging (go check the photos on the Gardo's website and you'll see what I mean). Either trip will give you the full experience of "Floating the River, Texas Style!" And yes, that means with beer and sunburns.... Gardo's has made us a deal for renting the tubes and transportation of $15.00 a person, which is not included in your Southern Rally registration fee. For that weekend, this is a great entertainment deal for only fifteen bucks! Our bikes, cold beer, and changing facilities will be waiting for us along with a delicious Texas meal courtesy of
"Brothers From Another Mother Barbecue" and W&FMC Brother Gary Teer, Sr.
(108 East Main
Street in Downtown Pflugerville) We are still good friends with Hanover's Draught Haus in beautiful downtown Pflugerville, and certainly think you should stop in there any time you are in the neighborhood. They have ice cold beer, occasional karaoke, volleyball, and great people in a historic old building. All this and Refrigerated
Air!
...And Then At Last... Don't forget to
head back out to the
ROT Rally Site
and buy some cool stuff, see some cool bikes, and meet some cool people!
It's the best way to forget about the Texas heat!!
...FINALLY... Then all night long on SATURDAY NIGHT,
be ready for
'OSCAR'S BIG BASH' at the ROT RALLY (in the RV
Yellow Lot, look for the W&FMC Flags and Banners. Ask about getting your
BREEZY RIDER PATCH!)
Thanks again to all these wonderful folks for inviting us back or welcoming us for the first time! " Don't worry, there's always next year's rally... "
